Gale force winds, driving rain, blistered feet and stretched tendons did not prevent Wayne Webster, one of our Project Development Managers, in completing the Coast to Coast walk in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’.

The 198 mile walk from St Bees on the west coast to Robin Hood’s bay on the east coast traverses some of the hardest terrain in the country. And normally takes about 12 to 14 days.

Wayne completed the walk in six and a half days; carrying a 65 lbs back pack he was completely self - sufficient, sleeping wherever he could find a suitable spot to set up his ‘Basha’.

To date Wayne, himself an ex paratrooper, has raised over £7,000, on behalf of the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity. As Wayne stated upon completion of the walk. “It was a tough challenge but worth every painful step of the way to be able to raise this amount of money for the wounded men and women of our armed forces”. 

Wayne was sponsored by Adien for the walk and all members of the company are proud of his achievement.
